There was a very wealthy family with just one son who was excessively indulged by his parents. He used to stroll around the streets and one day came across a girl who had a lovely appearance and was selling dyes. He immediately fell in love with her but was unsure how to express his feelings. So, he pretended to buy dyes, visiting the street daily, purchasing dyes and hastily leaving. At first, he said nothing, just silently admiring her beauty. Over time, the girl found his behavior peculiar.
The following day, he returned, and the girl curiously asked, "Why are you buying so much dye? What do you need it for?" He gathered his courage and replied, "I like you but didn't dare to confess. I just wanted to see you regularly, so I used buying dyes as an excuse to catch a glimpse of you." The girl, touched and a little shy, gently agreed, saying, "Since you love me so much, how could I refuse?" So, they secretly arranged to meet.
In the evening, the girl arrived on time. The boy was overjoyed, embraced her arm, and said, "I've always wanted to be with you, and today it's finally happening!" He became overly excited and fainted. The girl, terrified, believed he had died, not knowing what to do, so she fled and returned to her dye-selling spot the next day.During mealtime, the boy's parents grew suspicious as he had not woken up. They went to check on him and discovered that he had indeed passed away. Overwhelmed with grief, they prepared for his funeral.
While searching through the boy's belongings, they found over a hundred packages of dye piled together. His mother said, "The person who killed my son is the one who sells this dye." She went to the street, bought all the dyes, and upon comparing the packaging and handwriting, she discovered they were identical to the girl's. She apprehended the girl and questioned her, "Why did you kill my son?" The girl, in tears, confessed the truth.
The boy's parents did not believe her and reported her to the authorities. The girl said, "I'm not afraid of death! I only wish to see him one more time and express my grief to him." The county official agreed. She approached him, touched him, and cried, saying, "I'm so unfortunate. I caused you harm. If your spirit is still here, what else do we have to regret?" Suddenly, the boy woke up and recounted their shared experiences, leading them to become husband and wife, later having many children.
