醉翁之意不在酒zuì wēng zhī yì bù zài jiǔ

Ouyang Xiu is demoted and sent to a remote prefecture far from the capital. He builds a pavilion in the hills, names himself the Old Drunkard, and writes an essay insisting he loves the wine and nothing else. But every line reveals what he is really thinking about: the landscape, the people, the life of service he has been denied. He says one thing. He means another. So does everyone.

欧(ōu)阳(yáng)修(xiū)被(bèi)贬(biǎn)至(zhì)偏(piān)远(yuǎn)小(xiǎo)城(chéng)，远(yuǎn)离(lí)朝(cháo)堂(táng)。他(tā)在(zài)山(shān)间(jiān)建(jiàn)起(qǐ)一(yí)座(zuò)亭(tíng)子(zi)，自(zì)号(hào)"醉(zuì)翁(wēng)"，写(xiě)文(wén)章(zhāng)说(shuō)自(zì)己(jǐ)只(zhī)爱(ài)饮(yǐn)酒(jiǔ)，别(bié)无(wú)他(tā)求(qiú)。但(dàn)每(měi)一(yì)行(háng)字(zì)都(dōu)泄(xiè)露(lòu)了(le)他(tā)真(zhēn)正(zhèng)的(de)心(xīn)思(sī)——山(shān)水(shuǐ)、百(bǎi)姓(xìng)、那(nà)个(ge)被(bèi)夺(duó)走(zǒu)的(de)报(bào)国(guó)机(jī)会(huì)。他(tā)说(shuō)的(de)是(shì)一(yí)件(jiàn)事(shì)，心(xīn)里(lǐ)装(zhuāng)的(de)是(shì)另(lìng)一(yí)件(jiàn)。每(měi)个(gè)人(rén)都(dōu)一(yí)样(yàng)。
